I talked to Darnell a couple of days ago at Kuston 1 Off Bikes.. he was telling me that he uses the JL Audio Xd400/4 in fairing all the time without any modifications other than trimming the speedo and tach rings. If what he states is correct, you won't have any issue putting this amp in the fairing.
Also, I'm not one to run lowers but seriously looking at those 6x9 lowers, definitely going to replace my stock pods with the BT 7.1 rear pods, and maybe another xd400 for the rear (if I like the first one).. Slowly but surely I'm graduating to the GP way of thinking.. 8 channels..
