Default Hogtunes Saddlebag Speaker Lids

For anybody that is interested, I purchased a set of the Hogtunes saddlebag lids tonight, without speakers, through a buy-it-now/make-an-offer auction on eBay. Might not be the cheapest you can find them, but this is the cheapest I have found them and I have been looking for a few weeks.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=331024897307

I offered $275 and it was accepted immediately. The cheapest buy-it-now I have seen over the past few weeks was $283.99, and they sold out of 15 of them in less than two weeks. Maybe try $265 or $275. They have an automatic low limit set, just have to find how low it is.

You guys talked me into the Pioneer TS-D6902R's. Going to replace my fairing speakers with the BT 7.1's, BT's 6.5's in the lowers, BT 7.1 pods, and thinking of the Sony DSXS210X for the head unit and BT4180 for the amp.

Gonna be an expensive winter.

Hopefully, somebody that is contemplating these lids can benefit from my find.

just make sure to line your bags either with the HD liners or some kind of fabric to prevent the ABS from flexing and rattling.

Yes sir those are the ones I use. Some just prefer to line the bags with something like trunk type material

What keeps these speakers from leaking when you install them I understand bridge mounted tweeters won't leak but when there is a hole in middle of woofer what keeps water from running in there and into bags?

I'm hoping that the angle of the speaker will just allow it to drain and not pool up and leak into the bag. If the speakers get ruined, so be it. They aren't that expensive. I can always get some of the hard plastic lid covers if I end up having a problem with water.
