I'm going to upgrade my audio system over the winter. Not going to go TOO crazy (I know, you're all chuckling). This is what I'm thinking...
2004 Ultra Classic with the stock head unit. I THINK it's 4 ohms. So I'm thinking of replacing the front speakers with the RF P152. A few questions...
Will these fit in the rear speaker pods too?
If I install the 4 speakers now, and then an amp later, will I notice any change with just the speakers? and will it do any harm to my stereo if I wait to add the amp. Just easier to do things a little bit at a time.
I've watched some amp install videos and I think I can do that part as well as the speakers. Need some suggestions on a good amp.
I realize there are better speakers (Biketronics) out there but $$ is unfortunately an issue.
Unfortunately,.........your gonna be stuck doing all the upgrades at once, since you have a pre-2006 head unit.........not a huge deal, just costs a little more.

Meaning I need a new head unit or something else? Glad I asked!
Ok, so I'll need a 4 ohm amp to go with the 4 ohm speakers, and will have to change all the speakers at once AND install the new amp?
Yes.
But you can use an amp rated for a lower number with a higher number speaker. So if you can find a 2 ohm stable amp you like, you can use it with 4 ohm speakers.
