Ones anyone know if this system will work with hand controls

It will work after you get an install kit. A couple of companies make them. If you want your AVC to work, you want Biketronics. There is also Hog Wired and Scoche.

Hmm, just installed the Biketronics kit with their 7.1" Titan II speakers and a SS PN4.520D amp in my '09 FLHT Standard. No issues so far. (I dont use am/fm which the amplifier interferes with.) Install went easy but will need to reroute a few cables around the amplifier for better fairing clearance.
