Hey all, newbie to this section, I'm currently running Shockwave 6.5's in the fairing with 1in tweeters in 2 of the gauge holes with 2 6x9's in the saddle bag list, looking for MORE. I was told Hertz are the bomb? Any insight on this, I have a alpine pdx4 amp I'm also running. With a alpine head unit. Any help and best place to buy would be appreciated!
Make sure it's an AUTHORIZED Hertz dealer.....There are a lot of counterfeit Hertz speakers out there...................BEWARE !! What brand are your 6X9's ??
Haven't found anything that out performs the Pioneer 2 way 6X9's !!!!

UltraNutZ had tried them both. He said the BT479's are an all around better speaker, especially for lids because they are component and not coax, but the Pioneers are better on the low end.

LOL. Oh I know UN's opinion. I was more so just jabbing at GP a bit...Now that you mention it though, UN has told me on multiple occasions the best bass going in a MC speaker is the BT479.

hmm.. i must have been confused (or drinking). No way the BT479 produce more bass than the Pioneer's do. I find the BT479 are a more defined sound and IMO are a better all around speaker but low end without a doubt goes to the Pioneer's. Just wish I could get mine back from Kevin @ Dragonfly. :-)

Chit...no way that was you. Hell I must have been drinking that day too...I also just got in from work. I'm a tad delirious....I coulda' swore thats what I heard...maybe I confused what you said and what Bill said...he is slightly biased ...oh hell, I'm sorry Pioneer/T, I miss quoted. You can be sure I'll punish my liver for falling out of line and effecting my brain like this...
GP, I'm currently running 6x9 shock waves, by far the clearest speaker my ears have heard but not enough volume for me. Do you and UN both recommend those pioneers? My builder is suggesting alpine type r's any thought.
