Default AMP Suggestion

Guys,

Tons of good info on this topic. Looks like we've been through several iterations of systems... geeezzzzz. I have a 2012 Ultra Limited and want to upgrade the front speakers to the BT7P1's from all I've read on here. I am going to leave the rear pods stock. What AMP would you guys suggest for the best value? Read about the BT2180 and also the PBR300X2. I seem to be down to those two. Unless you have a better suggestion.

Any Pro's or Con's on each would be very helpful!

Thanks for all the good info on here!!!!

both good amps and both will effectively drive the speakers mentioned. Just up to you how much you want to spend.

Pbr - good amp. Inexpensive. Powerful for its size.

Bt2180 - better amp with more power, lifetime warranty, and made in the USA. Really nice to have if you ever want to put speaker pods in your lowers.

I have a 2180 I just added my second set of BT 7.1s to. The 7.1s are in custom pods on my tour pak replacing the stock speaker pods. I added them in parallel with the fairing speakers, volume increased, the pods sound great. the amp automatically adjusts for the lower impedance and puts out 230 watts per channel. I haven't gotten it on the highway yet with all four speakers hooked up so can't comment on how it does there but was doing good with just the fairing speakers and now it is louder than it was.

I went with the BT4180 so that I can add on lids/lowers later. Made in USA and Lifetime Warranty was worth the extra $ to me. Eastern Performance gave me a forum discount, and had it to my door within a few days. Great customer service as well.

eastern performance is probably your best bet but I would also check with Bill directly @ BT. He's known to give good deals himself..

Went all out. Sony dsx-210, 4180 amp, 6.5 speakers (should have done the 7.1) and CVO lid speakers. Total discounts were $350.
