Exclamation HK Head Unit HELP!

To Ultra and others that have had this experience. This is crazy!! I am on my FIFTH, YES that is 5 Harley Davidson Harmon Kardon stereos. All have been replaced under warranty. All have been replaced by the same dealership. The same dealership put in the Hog Tunes amp, the mm651 Polk Audio speakers and the ipod interface. The last stereo went out as well as the amp . Hog tunes replaced the amp under warranty and now the stereo is exhibiting the same cut out issues. The sound turns off, then I power the stereo off and back on and it plays for a couple of minutes and the sound cuts back out. The display lights stay on and the controls all work but the sound cuts out. WTH is going on?? Thanks in advance for any help!!

I use to have issues with a car audio system that did the same thing . it was speaker related one of the speakers were shorting out causing the amp to go into protection mode. Have you tried bypassing the amp and see what happens??

Why would you use a Hogtunes amp with Polk speakers? Not enough power for those speakers by a longshot.

To me it sounds like the amp is clipping. I would try a different amp like the pbr 300x2.

Too many radios for it not to be an external issue.
We have lots of questions.

my thoughts as well. Not sure what bike you have but the handlebar riser bolts and/or a cracked vertical fairing support bracket come to mind here.
