sorry you didn't get the 20% deal but yes I agree... Both Bill and Mike are a hoot to talk with and a considerable amount of audio knowledge between them both. One of the best conversations pertaining to audio I had with them was on a conference call with Mike, Bill, and Scott from HAT. That was a blast and my brain was on overload for days afterwards!

Congrats on your purchase sir.. let us know how it turns out.

Big post early next year will cover the Biketronics goodies, Hogtunes lids, CVO bag and fairing lowers and Kenwood head unit with V-Twin install kit and rain cover. Not to mention the for-sale ads of my current system, including pods, harness, and factory radio.

Still waiting on your thread.

I'm pretty sure that's the hawg wired kit which does not retain avc. I could be wrong though.

I'm only using the V-Twin radio mount and rain cover. Using the Biketronics Retro Radio controller. The Hawg Wired controller doesn't have AVC or a lifetime warranty.

Do you have to use the V-Twin radio mount to use their rain cover or do you just prefer that mount?

Don't think you have to use the mount to use the rain cover, but the mount looks 100x better on a gloss black painted fairing than the flat black textured trim piece the BT kit provides. If you know the model of radio you will be using, they custom make it to fit that radio so there is no trim piece needed and looks really clean. I also like that the top of it is used as a place to mount an amp.

i agree.. I ordered the mounting kit a couple of months ago but haven't yet gotten around to putting it in since I have no other reason to take the head unit out. :-)

I've never known you to NEED a reason to do anything.
