I like 2 speakers sir.

BT479 which are the HAT 6x9s
and
Pioneer TS-D6902R

The Pioneer without a doubt produce better bass response and the mids and highs are excellent. The price.. well.. can't beat it with a stick

The HAT speakers I prefer in the lids themselves because of the bridged tweeter so less chance of water getting in your bags. The bass is good and solid (not as good as the Pioneer) and the mids and highs are excellent as well.

Either way you can't go wrong, just a matter of what you want to spend.

Thanks UN, one more quick question has any one devised a quick disconnect for their speaker wiring in the bags so you can remove the bags completely from the bike????

Haven't removed it from the bag, but the Hogtunes lids come with wiring. I think it has a quick disconnect.

in those cases where wires aren't provided, I bought a pack of these. This is what BT uses for their wiring quick disconnects and I really like them..

Hey ultra, will the pioneers work inside the bag facing the wheel without a spacer of some sort?

Do you guys think the sound stream 4.520d is a better choice than running two of the pbr300x2 amps.im ready to Oder a amp right now but I know I will be adding speaker lids soon as well and trying to plan ahead alittle. Would 2 of the pbr amps sound better than the sound stream?
