Speaker distortion on Boom Audio

Speaker distortion on Boom Audio
Boom audio work great while connected to my IPhone 4 until I plug my phone into the 12 volt port, then awful distortion. Have tried different charging cradles and also connected a different 12 volt port to heater jacket plug to eliminate both the charging device and the 12 volt port as being the problem. Everything was installed by Harley dealership. They are stumped as well. Any suggestions?

What bike, what other audio do you have installed?

no worries man.. just kinda hard to answer questions when we don't know what we're dealing with.
where is the 12v port you're plugging your phone into? is it physically attached to this same BA device? and I'm assuming you're referring to the handlebar/windshield mounted BA device
