when you add an amp in the mix, the ohm rating for speakers need to then match the amp, not the head unit.
Thank you so much explanation! unfortunately I am ignorant in the audio world
so if I understand correctly ... it all depends on the amp
And what do you recommend between this combinations?
PBR300x2 + 2 Polk MM651
PBR300x2 + 2 Infinity Kappa 62.11i
PBR300x2 + 2 Bikertronics 7.1"
or other...
I can spend 600$ between amp and 2 speakers for my motorbike...
Of course other suggestions are welcome for a GOOD system

Really interesting.....
another questions...are the 7.1" speakers waterproof?
Due to the big weight and size...have i to take precautions about the support brackets?
What do I need more? Except power and ground wire + fuse
Havent read much on the brackets they are pretty new. Look heavy duty to me. I was leaning towards the polk also but read some posts from pioneer74 and he made a good point the bt speakers come with adapter rings included in the price

you're fine with the weight. just make sure to re-use the support brackets
power and ground is all you need for wiring.
go by Walmart and get a small bag of rolled, thin layered polyfil. 3 layers in 15x15 square wrapped around each speaker prior to putting the fairing cap back on.

unless you have a need for them, the brackets IMO are a waste of time. The stock brackets are perfect.
I agree did some research it is alot of money seems everybody uses l brackets for a fix and I happen to work at a metal/stamping/welding plant and sure I can turn it into a sunday double time govt job
