Default Trying to Pick the Right Receiver

I'm having a hard time deciding on the right receiver to fit my needs. I want to mount my Iphone 5C to my handle bars and be able to control my music through my handle bars. The first requirement is the receiver must have full ipod/Iphone 5C control. The next requirement is that it has rear usb input. I am having a hard time finding a marine receiver with both these options. I want to mount the Iphone on my handle bars so I can use it for navigation also. My thought is I will be able to see the screen and the phone will override my music with the direction through the speakers as well. Has anyone else ran into this same issue?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Skip the 'marine' part of the equation, and your options will increase greatly !!

I got the Sony MEX-GS600BT on eBay last fall for $135 new shipped. It is a great HU with 5V preouts and tons of whistles and bells, almost too many. It meets all the criteria you mention with the exception of being marine. I bought a rain cover for it from Biketronics, even though I did not buy it through them, because I got their retro radio and install kits. I would not hesitate to recommend the Sony to anyone. Good luck.

I already bought the schoshe dash kit. Will the biketronics splash cover work or does it require the biketronics dash kit?

I don't know for certain but I would imagine it does as it fits snug inside the recessed area for the radio. However, if your kit doesn't center the HU in the opening the cover will not fit for sure. You could always call Biketronics to find out.

yes sir it will. also as stated above, I would ignore the whole marine grade thing, it's all BS. The only thing marine grade will give you that most others won't is a better viewable display but then again riding down the road you shouldn't be looking at your radio. Get familiar with and use the hand controls.
