I just purchased a BT kit with a Sony MS60 and the Titan II 7.1's. I didn't go for the BT amp at this time, although I have six months to get the discount if I decide to go that route. My question is: are the BT amps worth the money? I see there are amps out there that cost quite a bit less like the PBR300X4 that look like they will do the job, but I don't mind spending the extra cash if I am getting value for it.
I got a 4 channel amp at the beginning even though I was only doing BT fairing speakers. I though I would eventually add more speakers and 3 months down the road I purchased the Hogtune lids and Pioneer 6x9s. Planning ahead saves money and time in the end.
What are your future plans and do you care about FM/AM/WB reception?
There is a possibility that in the future I might add speaker in the saddle bag lids. So I'm thinking four channel. The MS60 has FM and I think AM though it wouldn't bother me if no AM. WB I have hardly ever used.

Kind of where I am. Did you go with the BT amp? I am questioning if they are worth the price.

If you listen to FM then the Soundstream amp is out. The JL 400/4 fits but is kinda low on power. You can fit 2 pbr300x2 amps in the fairing. You could use 1 for the 7.1's and install a second if you decide to go with speaker lids. The BT4180 is pretty powerful but expensive, but it would allow you to keep your FM and only have one amp. Another choice would be an Arc 125.4, but IIRC, you have to modify the gauge supports on your inner fairing to make it fit.
JLAudio makes some great amps, but,.............For the price versus output...... I'd never recommend the JL 400/4.....SoundStream seems to get the nod for bang for your buck........

I went with the Soundstream PN4.520D ($110 on Amazon) because I don't use my FM at all. However, I only lost good reception from around 106.X and up. I use my phone (MP3s and Pandora), XM or maybe a CD.
