Have you ever set up the Soundstream PN2.350 D in the fairing with the Titan 7.1 upper and Titan 2's in the lowers running all four speakers in parrallel? This Bike has the Sony DSXS310BTX for a head unit. Bike is a 2007 ultra classic. Amp rated at 115 x 2@ 4 OHM and 175 x 2 @ 2 OHM. your thoughts?
My RF 300x2 had a "birth" sheet rating of 193 watts per channel into 2 ohms. That would give you almost 100 watts per speaker AND you'd keep your FM.
Thank you Sir! I have a couple of these amps on the shelf as well. I tried this same set up with the X2 and the Titan 2 speakers and did not get very good results. At least with these speakers. The X2 is awesome with the polks and the infinity 62.11 But the Hats act like they need more power for the system to be optimized. I'm trying to exhaust all my cheaper options before I'm forced to order the 4180..... I'm presently running 2 520.D's But like Nutz I'm never satisfied. . . lol
Picasso Nano 4.520 is 100 watts a channel at 4 ohms.
I know I'm not Nutz, but thought I'd chime in.
Totally respect all of your knowledge Pioneer 74! You are ALWAYS welcome to chime in!! Guys like you is what makes this forum great! I've read every audio post of yours on this forum. . . . lol I'm not very active on here in the summer because I'm always riding. But in the winter I jump in here to get idea's from you guys and to see what trending in the mind of Glacierpearl, Nutz, Pingman, yourself and others. Everything I've learned about Audio on a bike came from you guys!! Keep it coming!!!
A lot of guys don't realize that when they start 'paralleling' speakers together, you dive the wattage in half.
Not all amps have an increase in watts when the ohms are changed.
My alpine PDX 4.150 amps(2), are 150 watts per channel, regardless of the ohm load.
So, if I add more speakers, and take my system to 10 speakers, I will add a third amp.......YIKES !!!

absolutely! I didn't realize it until I got on this forum. I'm thinking from this point forward all speakers should have their own channel.... No more of this parallel stuff! One thing I have observed is the Amps appear to run hotter at 2 ohms.

It's OK to parallel speakers when the amp is powerful enough and can supply enough wattage to each speaker.
In Glacier's case, with the amps he chose, it doesn't make sense to parallel speakers because the amps produce the same wattage at 4 and 2 ohms.
In my case, while wanting to keep all amps in my fairing to make my detachable tour pack simple, I chose the BT4180, 180 watts RMS at 4 ohm, 230 watts a channel at 2 ohm. All Biketronics speakers are 4 ohm. By paralleling my fairing and lowers, and my tour pack and saddlebags, I am still sending 115 watts to each speaker.
