Wish I had seen this post first but saw one in the touring section. Spent an
hour downloading looking forward to AVC working (maybe) since this is not a fix noted. plugged the drive into the bike. Want to upgrade from 1.17.1.1 to 1.17.1.1. REALLY!!!!!!!!!! Glad I had a few beers first.
I did the same damn thing, luckily I've got fast internet and it only took a minute to download.....but I've downloaded it about 20 times hoping it was updated.
This is what I am seeing

That's what I see too, however the file itself has not been updated. For the 4.3 radios the file is still 1.17.1.2 dated August of 2013. Other guys with the 6.5 are saying that file has not been updated either.
Just downloaded the new file, 1.17.4 for the standard 4.3 radio. Strange, the file info says it was last modified on November 26th and the web site says the release date is January 15....but today the file is finally available.
I just downloaded the boom 6.5 1.17.4 version and installed it. It actually said it was 1.17.4 this time. I haven't tried it yet to see if there are any improvements.
On the 4.3 radio I think they fixed the popping noise on AM/FM, but that's it. Rode about 40-50 miles before the radio did a self restart. Started up after my ride and it wouldn't read the memory stick on USB so I had to shut it down and turn it back on.
Making a radio work properly shouldn't be this difficult.
I'm hoping someone makes an aftermarket replacement soon. (hint for vendors)
