Don't know how much different the RG lowers are? Fairing Factory makes speaker pods for non vented lowers. Move your polks to the lowers and add another pbr in the fairing for some biketronics 7.1s. Should more than double the sound.
I set my RF PBR300X2 gain to approx. 7, and adjusted my HK head unit fader to favor the Polk MM651s in the fairing in order to balance the sound as the fairing speakers did not sound as loud as the speakers in my rear pods (the new 5.25 J&M speakers).
you have a pbr300x2 and using a fader? what other equipment do you have sir because something is missing out of this equation

I have a '08 CVO Ultra. The PBR300X2 is in the fairing driving the Polks. The CVO amp is under the tour pak and is driving the J&M speakers in the rear pods. I have the stock HK head unit and handlebar controls.
good move. Set your gains based on the sticky, either ear or DMM. If you blow the MM651 speakers, replace them with the BT7P1 7.1" from Biketronics.
Read the sticky... on my way!

My point is set your expectation higher than CVO.
Ouch! I guess what impressed me about a CVO system was that I could hear it clearly on the other side of the showroom. I know there are higher end and better quality sounding systems. I want what I have to be at it's optimum.
Thanks again though UN! You should be getting a commission!
Very true I'm sure, but I will bet that it still sounds great at 80!!!
well it does but the point was it sounds SOOOO much better sitting still. Enclose it in a space such as the CVO on the showroom or mine in the garage and it sounds that much better.
OP, take that CVO for a ride, then come back and tell us what you think.
