Default Speaker change possibly?

Needing a little advice from some of you who have spent a lot more time switching, changing, swapping, reversing, flipping up side down and then finding what you like. Right now I'm running a sound stream 4.520d in my street glide and I'm using Polk mm651s. I recently had a buddy offer me a set of brand new j&m rocker xx component series 7.25" speakers hcrk-7252-rxx. He is wanting to trade me for another item I have which is no longer any use to me so the speakers won't cost me a dime. I guess my question would be which is the better speaker? Obviously the j&m speakers are no use to me if there are not going to improve what I already have and I don't want to use them and have to sell them as "used" if I'm not going to like the results of swapping speakers. The j&m speakers are a lot higher priced speaker so I would think they would have a leg up on the polks but I guess you don't always get what you pay for so I'm looking for some real advice from someone who knows...... Thanks

ridedaddy ,,,,,,

the J&M ROKKER XX speakers will outperform the Polks by a significant margin, depending upon the size of amplifier you are using ,,,,,

how many watts RMS per channel is you amplifier rated ? ,,,,,,

what are you using for tweeters in your fairing position ?

What is he offering to trade for? To me, that would be the deciding factor.

It's a non motorcycle related item. I have no problem trading him the item he wants becouse I no longer have a use for it. I'm solely concerned with the performance of the two speakers. JM JOHN it's a 520 watt 4 channel amp, it has plenty to push your speakers just wanting to compare the speakers.

Lol.... Well......it has nothing to do with the speakers the box isn't even opened. He just bought a older (06) street glide and he is actually thinking he wishes he would have bought a newer model bike. Since he hasn't bought a amp or anything yet he is saying he is going to wait till later in the year before spending any more money on this perticular bike. This 06 is his first touring bike and I don't think he realized all of the frame changes that took place in 09 and what not. Can someone please tell me how the two speakers compare!!! Lol he is a close personal friend of mine.... Nothing shady about the deal.

OK John, I have the Polks and would really like to see a video comparison with your Rokkers. You've done this before with other brands, how about it?

Are the 7.25" speakers ment to be used with tweeter grills? We opened the box and there are not tweeter grills like some of there other speakers, no tweets in the woofers either.
