J&M charges extra for tweeters. They are an option.

Didn't even see a twitter option for the 7.25" speakers. Either way I'm still looking for opinions as to weather or not these j&m speakers are going to be a upgrade to my polks or not?

that is because the ROKKER XXs give you a choice when it comes to the tweeter the installer wants to use ,,, whether it be J&M grill mounted tweeters, gauge tweeters, or aftermarket items like Hog-Tune's tweeter pods ,,,,,

I did not feel that it was prudent to drive the price of the ROKKER XX speaker kits even higher, by including grills with tweeter-midrange when 1/3 of the installers are going to throw the grills away anyway ,,,,,,,

so we include the plain grills in the kits, which are also easily paintable ,,,,,,,

In summary, the ROKKER XX speaker kits are very complete, with all mounting rings, adapters, grills, hardware/bracket adaptors AND the acoustic foam pads, are included in the kit,,,,,,

and there is not a more powerful and durable speaker on the market today for your Harley, than J&M's ROKKER XX speakers ,,,,,

Sooooooo????? The $320 speaker kit requires an additional purchase? What speaker grills do I need? All the ones I seen with tweeters said they were for the 5"25 speakers?

My question would be is the ROKKER XX a full range speaker that doesn't need a tweeter? If so what is the frequency range of this speaker?

Still looking for someone who has listened to both speakers that can give me a opinion. And as big nitride stated does this speaker require tweeters?

RideDaddy ,,,,,,,

yes ,,, the ROKKER XX will only go up to about 8K hz by itself ,,,,, so some type of tweeter is required for frequencies above that ,,,,,,

ridedaddy ,,,,,,,

as far as listening to both ,,, I have listened to pretty much ALL of them and I can tell you which ones are the loudest and best performing on the highway with a given amount of power ,,,,,,
