2014 Fairing Speaker Replmnt Issues
here are the specific problems with the 6.5" speakers like the Focal's and Polk's mounted in the fairing of the 2014s ,,,,,,, notice the rolled edge of each speaker cone where it rubs on the inside edge as it is playing ,,,,,,,,
this will wear actual holes in the edges of the speaker cones in a fairly short time,,,,,,,,
now look at the new J&M speaker for the 2014s ,,,, the rolled edge of the speaker cone is inverted, so that no portion of the cone can come into contact with the inside edge of the fairing, as it thrusts forward with the loud, deep bass frequencies ,,,,,,

oh sarcasm is OK ,,,,, I am just giving everyone I can the correct information and what they do with it is their business ,,,,,,,
having his 6.5s rubbing the inside edge of the fairing and wearing a hole in them is certainly not the end off the world, most riders like that will play them until they wear thru and then replace them again, "hopefully" with J&Ms the next time around ,,,,,
and it is also just a different philosophy & way of doing the job from the beginning ,,,,,,,,,,
there are those riders who take pride in how CHEAPLY they have done something, and then brag about it ,,,,,,,
there are others that take pride in how WELL they have done something, and then brag about it ,,,,,
main thing is that we all get to brag about something !! ,,,, LOL ,,,,,,,,,,,
