My 2014 Street Glide Special came with no com harness. The HD catalog shows only the rider harness (single port) available for about $60 and it needs a flash of the unit I believe to get it working. The rider harness plugs in under the rider seat and mounts the port on the tank trim. Even though the FLHXS is listed as a "touring" model apparently the MoCo decided that FLHXS riders didn't need rider to passenger coms.
Is there a hack to splice in a second com port ?
Anybody have access to the wiring schematics to make this work ?
I think I could fab the additional harness using commercial DIN plug and wiring. Just need to know how to wire it all together.
Thanks,
DC
Thanks,
Looks to be a futile pursuit at this point, and I feel badly for the guy who spent all that time trying.
I'm still baffled that HD didn't foresee a need for dual intercom.
A moment of silence while we bow our heads in thanks for all of the advantages of NOT having to talk/listen to another person while riding ............
