I too love good sounding tunes but I bought a bagger because it has bags to carry **** in. I was just wandering why you would fill the bag with speakers and amps making them useless for carrying your **** in. I am sure they sound good but kinda defeats the purpose of the bagger.
I am sure some people bought them because they have a radio and do not need to carry that much stuff. I could never see needing a trunk but you have one so it just goes to show we all have different wants and needs when it comes to our bikes.....
This is sort of like a woman needing to carry a pocketbook VS. a man slipping a wallet into his back pocket. Everything I need to "carry" in my life neatly fits into a Big Skinny nylon wallet I keep in a rear pocket. I'd never leave home without it - VS. - my wife and her pocketbook. Darn thing must weigh in at 5 lbs.! So filled full of "stuff" that she can never find what she's looking for anyhow. If you emptied it out, turned it over and shook it out you could lighten the load by about 4 lbs. worth of change (mostly pennies), but alas.
Carry what you want, ride what you want, stuff it full of what ever you want - or don't.

Couldn't have said it better myself! On the flip side if you think it through and become a little creative there's still plenty of room to carry stuff! Even if you have a pack rat ole' lady like I do. . . lol
Well the tour pack is not on it unless the OL is. And I had a dyna before and survived just fine. But bought the bagger for the bags. So I can carry my helmet and jacket and cold drinks in the summer. NONE of which I could do on the dyna all the time. I could as long as the ol was not on the bike. But here in pa we do not wear our helmets but live close to MD which has a helmet law and sometime like to go there on a whim so having the helmets is a good thing for us. And sometimes the wife gets cold when the sun goes down so its nice to have a jacket for her. I used to bungie all that **** to my dyna which is a pain in the ***. Don't get me wrong I think the sound systems rock. And if you don't need the bags then fill them with speakers. I am not dissin anyone just askin is all. Well I am out of here and going for a ride today stay safe my brothers.
If you just go with lid speakers then you literally lose no room. For those that pack them with amps and speakers that's a personal choice they made. No right or wrong answer if you get the end result you wanted.
