Default Fabbing harness, what pins?

I'm aiming to fab a harness to hookup my HK XM module without needing the NUOL or any other wiring harnesses for silly money. I'm getting the Hawg Wired rear speaker breakout harness that will give me the 35-pin connector I need, and with a little help from the parts counter, I'm getting the 12-pin housing, socket lock, and pins to connect to the XM module. The question I have that no one working at my dealer could answer is this:

In all the connectors, there are the "Socket, Terminal" pins, and then there are a few "Seal Pins". What is the difference between these? The 35-pin connector has 30 "Socket, Terminal" pins and 5 Seal Pins. the XM connector has 12 pins, of which 11 are Terminal, and 1 is Seal Pin. I only need pins 6-12 on this, and pins 7,13,14,18,30 on the 35-pin side. How can I tell which, if any, need to be Seal Pins?

seal pins are just as described. they seal an empty hole.

Do a search for Harleypingman topics and you'll find all you need to know about "pinning" the harness

So really all I need are the socket terminal pins, and I can leave the rest of the cavities open?

Seal pins are cheap insurance to protect your device from dust and water
