I have a 2005 Harley Road Glide, with a stock radio. I installed Hogtunes 692.2 speaker lid kit with their NCA 70.2 amplifier. Installation was completed approximately 3 weeks ago. Everything tested good and I was pleased with the product. Last week I noticed the right saddlebag speaker humming when this ignition of the bike was turned on. On this ride I never turned the radio itself on.
Yesterday I took my first ride with a passenger to check out how well the system worked for her. She immediately noticed that the right (brake side) speaker was not working. At home without the bike running, the speaker is still humming when the ignition is turned on. With the radio on, minimal audio from the unit with lots of static. The left speaker appears to be working fine.
I manually connected the left side speaker wires to the right side bag, the speaker worked. I tried bypassing the connector, still static. I decided the issue is wiring from the amp to the bag connector. Removed gas tank and front fairing, no signs of pinched or cut wires. It almost appears that the issue is at the output on the amp. How should I move forward with trouble shooting this issue?
OK did a continuity test on all four speaker wires going to the lid speakers, same readings on all four wires. Is it possible for the AMP to go bad, and only for one side??
Hope some of you experts read this and come up with some ides
LED's??? If you mean led lighting and ballast, I don't have any on the bike. If you mean something else, please explain. Note the speakers and amp were working fine for several days, issue is recent. Also note condition is with or without the bike running. Keep the ideas coming fellas.
Being it is Sunday, I sent an email. Will call tomorrow if I don't hear back. Anybody have any other trouble shooting suggestions?
Just as an observation. . . That Hog Tune kit has 200 watt 6 X 9 speakers and I know you said you were very happy with the sound. But right now your pushing 70 watts to each speaker, Which probably sounds pretty dam good. Just for future reference just in case you want to upgrade I have a couple of barely used Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2's sitting in my garage I will let go at 75.00 bucks apiece. 75 Bucks for the X2 and a pair of Glaciers Pioneer TS-D6902R's for 70 Bucks = 145 Bucks for a MAJOR improvement in sound. . . Just a thought Sir. Good Luck with your present issue!

It's entirely possible for only one channel to go bad. Get ahold of Pez. He's known to make things right.
Update to all, Hogtunes reached out to me this AM with some additional troubleshooting ideas to confirm that the issue is the amp and not the head unit or wiring. I will be following their directions tonight after work. Then we will see what the next step is with warranties etc. So far I am confident we will have a good outcome.
