here's the biggest drawback for me.
- KVT-516 is the only model still manufactured by Kenwood. I won't even consider other brands GPS units.
- Cost of KVT-516 is $400 on a good day
- Cost of Navigation Module is $475 on a good day
- Cost of Bluetooth Module is $250 on a good day
- I won't even think about doing a flipout without navigation. For me kinda defeats the whole purpose
- Cost of iPod cable is another $30
- This setup does not come with Lifetime maps from Garmin (sucks)

Hard to believe how they've cut back the how many models of flip outs they produce. My Kenwood KVT819DVD listed at $1199 when I bought it,.........glad I saved a couple of bucks. The cool thing about the 819, is it has a separate 'brain' where all the connections are. I have that in the tourpack with the amps, so the wiring was WAY easier !!

if I'm going to spend $1k on a head unit, might as well make it $2k for new inner, head unit, and 6x9s
