Default amp wire size

I'm gonna install the soundstream pn4.520 will it be ok to use 8g instead of 10g? I already have 8g and the ground to go with it and I do have a 10g fuse holder and 30 amp fuse. Can I just get a 8g fuse holder and use what I got ?

60 amp is ok. 50 amp would be better. 40 would work. I wouldn't go below 40.

I wouldn't put a 60a fuse on that amp. It's rated at 40A max. I always put a tad bit smaller fuse on the battery wire than the amp is rated for merely for convenience. If you put a smaller fuse, that fuse will blow before the fuse located in the amp inside your fairing blows. Pop the seat off, change the fuse, be on your way vs pulling the fairing apart to change that fuse. I've always used a 30A fuse on these amps.

sure.. whatever suits your needs... I use the typical ATM fuse holders you can get at AutoZone because it's the same size fuses your bike uses.
