Unhappy Power Vision interfering with handlebar controls (Biketronics)?

Have been pulling off outer fairing like 4-5 times the last several week to re-position wires and controllers as my volume up was sometimes causing to act like next song on my aftermarket HU (Pioneer) and volume down did not really work great (going up / down). also volume increasing automatically when I hit the throttle.
Earlier this week I re-positioned all and drove around the neighborhood without outer faring on. all fine...
put fairing on, took bike out for another round all fine (without the Power Vision connected; got bracket in the middle/top of my fairing; wire running through central wire gutter under tank and though fairing up and out in the middle of the windshield between fairing and windshield though a small hole).
Today - again took bike out again and installed the PV. as soon as I hit the volume up second time... boom next song. So stopped over and disconnected the PV. Drove around and all was just fine...

so, anyone out there that has/had similar behavior? I cannot recall having the same issue when I had the PBR200x2 in the fairing (got SS4.520 now)...

I will - again - take fairing off and route the PV cable differently to see if this will help.

FYI I like to keep my PV on the bike all the time as I am one of those that needs to calculate all kind of info in my head while driving (OCD?).

If I have power vision running gauges etc, it screws with my stereo. unplug PV and all is fine. If I have my stereo turned off and PV connected it will actually turn stereo on by itself. Weird..

just rerouted the PV wire in the fairing. it was really close to the audio wires coming out of the BT unit... no luck. INDEED... when exiting the Gauges view - it works fine. but what's the point of having the PV on the bike then? besides changing tunes of course... I just love to look (sometimes!) at engine temp, etc etc while riding.

I know for a fact it was working just fine previously. maybe lift the tank again and change the PV wire in the wire channel.

I will also contact FuelMoto to see if they got any idea...

this is about the 3rd thread I've seen on this topic since the PV was introduced and interference with audio.

AAWAV, you'd probably be better of contacting DynoJet directly.

Where do you have the PV routed? I have mine on the bars and the wire routed under the tank, under the seat and to the connector at the ECM.

At no point does it touch or get near any of the control wires or gage wires. If you guys are running it thru the fairing, might be worth a try to re-route it and try again.

Those PV wires are very touchy! I am on my 3rd PV cable in 2 years. First one got pinched. 2nd one was scuffed and I think signal was leaking or getting in. Both of these times, The pv its self would be on but go "blank" as in no data.
But I never had a problem with Audio and I have a ton of Audio wires running right along side the PV cable.

That is interesting. I've got similar gear(BT-1005, PV) but not noticed a issue. I run the PV on bar mount though and not all the time. Yep keep us posted.

short update...

tried to call Dynojet - "busy" signal.

Called FuelMoto (I bought from them) - they have never heard this. I promised to let them know the outcome... As they are an outstanding Vendor

Emailed Dynojet with specifics and if needed I can drive over to them to actually show it to them.

Now, on a side note... read a little bit about wire shielding... of course not sure if this is the actual cause, but I do have "aluminum" tape here that conducts current (measured with multi meter). I am just curious if taping at least the PV cable part in the fairing with the tape and optionally ground the tape to the chassis. Anyone got an opinion on this?

If I do not get an answer today, I might open op the fairing (AGAIN for the xxxth time) and give it a shot.

Keep you posted.
