Default SoundStream 4.520 Question

Quick question: The high level inputs on the Soundstream, how are you all doing those connections? The wires are so God awful small that they are hard to deal with. Do I solder? Not crimp I'm sure. Ideas are appreciated.

I soldered mine. You're right, they are a ridiculously small gauge.

Soldered here too. Wires were tricky just to strip insulation off and not take strands with them. Not sure why their so small ? but that amp is a good one

I crimped mine into heat shrink quick detach fork terminals. Strip them twice as long and fold the conductors over onto themselves.

JetBlack is right. Hard to strip them without taking strands. I do like the idea of twice as long and doubling up.

I am trying to figure this out right now. First - which connector goes on the right and which on the left. It may show in the manual but the text and pics are so small I cant tell.

I have a Sony HU. There are female RCA coming out of the radio, but also female on the Nano. Does anyone know if it is correct to connect these via an adapter?

TwoBlue02- I answered this question in the other thread about this amp, but simply put, find a couple of the old RCA cables that you used to connect a cd player/dvd player/cassette deck to your home AV receiver. Or find the box (or the drawer you threw the extra parts into) that one of those old items came in; most of that kind of equipment came with at LEAST an RCA audio (red/white ends) patch cable. Find two of those, and connect them to the Sony on one end, the SS amp on the other. There's no "adapter" needed; however you DO require RCA patch cables. If you can't find any lying around the house already, ANY store that sells any type of electronics will have them (auto parts, department stores, etc). The cables are NOTHING special, but they are the interconnect between the deck and an amplifier.

Thanks - in reading through all the threads I found two that would pertain to my question so I posted in both.

This is what I thought, but I did find it odd that both connectors were the same.

Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the input (no pun intended)
