i had Iron Cross install the pre amp mod and now I want an amp to go with it, I have some RF 6.5 speakers installed. how about some recommendations, i plan on staying with just the fairing speakers. i also would like to keep the fm. thinking the rf 300x2.

If you were going to use the 300x2, you could have saved your money and not done the pre-amp mod. The pbr likes the high input gains.
speakers are t165's, i don't have to use the pre amp. i was under the impression that it would drive a cleaner sound thru the amp. should have asked before i did it. thanks again for the help.

Alpine KTP445U - main reason I include this one is because it's very small and packs a pretty good punch, 2 ohm stable to wake those BA speakers up, is inexpensive, has good specs, and is a helluva upgrade from stock
I would have to say performance wise, taking all things into consideration, and $ was no object, the toss up would be between the 4180 and the J&M/Arc amps.
Most bang for the $ definitely goes to the SS amps if you can live with the FM issues.
