First and Foremost, I have to thank UltraNutz. Without his help, I would have NEVER opted to have the confidence to pull this mod off. I have never taken a wrench to any of my bikes ( I know MEOWWWWW). He was very responsive and helpful and if lived close to TX, I would be compelled to buy him dinner.
All that said the Biketronics 7.1 sound fantastic (in the garage at least)....pushed with the fostgate 300.2. Tomorrow will be the road test. Perhaps the GF can actually hear it at highway speeds. If not, I might have to ride to TX to have Mr Nutz help me install speakers in the lids.
Golfinds....Can't wait to hear a report....PLEAZE POST SOON !!! I just took my delivery from Fed Ex of the amp and Rockford Fosgate RFK10 power only kit...I'm glad you say it is easy since I'm a little apprehensive to attempt install..The BT 7.1' will be here Tues
Ok here is the update. Good news my gf can hear it loud and clear while cruising down the super slab. Hopefully I won't have to do the speaker lids now. The increase volume and clarity is certainly noticeable. I played tunes via the radio and my iphone and the phone far exceeded the radio. On a not so good note, after a few hours of riding I started noticing the brake side speaker sounding like it was rattling. Very noticeable with a lot of bass and more so when I used my phone rather than the radio. I doubt the speaker is loose, so I am not sure if I blew it. No left and right balance so i can't get any color there. I hate to have to exchange sides to trouble shot because it's a lot of work. The worst part of the install was putting the flipping fairing back on.
