Audio for a Road King no Fairing
Idash from Sinister wheel. fits right over your dash, and fits an iphone or ipod. I bought the wiring harness from Mach 1 car audio. They also had the same volume control **** that someone else posted a picture of under their tank.
I mounted a Arc Audio amp in the right side saddlebag, and bought speaker lids from Dirty bird concepts. They are curved and tilt your speaker forward and towards the driver a bit. I put in Focal 6x9 speakers.
Everything worked flawless! Only problem was, on a 2 hour ride, if you had the volume cranked, so you could drown out your buddies systems on their baggers, your amp would get warm, and cut out. But if you kept the volume down, no problems.
I'm in the middle of changing it up right now. Bike is all apart. I bought a Rockford marine amp, and mounted that next to the rear wheel now. I have the Dirty Bird Concepts "Top shelf *** end" on the bike. So you can't see the amp from behind at all. It's mounted between the wheel and saddlebag. The marine amp should handle any small road spray. I wanted to get away from putting it in the bag so I could get air on it and keep it cool going down the road. And i'm changing the speakers to some cadence 6x9's... If I don't like this and it's not any louder or clearer, then i'll go back to what I had. It's going to be hard to beat what I had. But I had some buddies upgrade their street glides, and I did a lot of motor upgrades, and put Dirty Bird's up yours exhaust on mine, so I want to make sure that mines louder. So I changed it up a bit now.
