Audio for a Road King no Fairing
Ok I searched but...
I am on the fence about buying a fairing (reckless, deadcenter, hoppe, etc..)
the Goal is AUDIO that I can hear well at up to 75MPH
I spend most of my time around town but when I do go on the long hauls thats really important for it to be there.
The problem is.. I dont like fairings. I rode by buddy's electra and HATED the fairing on it..
So... without going crazy, good audio on RK without a fairing. Who has it , what ya got!?!?
Dont want lowers.
Are bag lids good enough??
Any input would be appreciated.

Can't help you with the bag lids but... I followed a few builds over in the Softail section (for my Deluxe) and really like this clean set-up built by scootluver where he used headlight buckets to mount 6.5" Focals and hid the RF PBR300x2 in the tool box. He put a volume controller under the tank. Real sano IMHO. HTH!

I guess what I am really asking is, " are speaker lids/speakers/amp " enough to hear at highway speeds?
Since originally posting, I have looked and considering hogtunes lids, pioneer 6x9 and the RF 300x2 amp
anyone run this or similiar? is it enough for highway speeds?

sounds to me like a ipod and ear buds are you only option if you dont want any of the above
