If your going to mount your amp in the tourpack what is the reason you cant use any 2 or 4 channel automotive amp that will fit the space you have?
I'm tring to come up with something for my 2010 flhtk stock head unit, and have tried the pbr300-2 with infinity 60.11 in the fairing and was not happy.
You can, however, I'd make sure it is a class D. You need something efficient, that isn't such a load to the charging system. I use 2 of the Alpine PDX 4.150's in my tour pack !

AMEN on the Class D stuff. Very little effect on your charging system as GP points out. I run 2 Soundstream TN4.900D amps in my tourpak with a digital signal processor
Thanks for the input that is the route I will be taking.
another thing to think about is the head unit. You have no idea what you're missing by not going aftermarket. There is a night and day difference in sound quality
how is your PBR300x2 inputs wired? are you using speaker level inputs or RCA inputs?
rs03371. I had one of the first 300x2 amps to come out and I had the same issue. The replacement for the amp did not cause the heat issue.
The 2 TN4.900D amps I run are tucked away under a false bottom in the tourpak with no air in the 2" tall space. No heat issues whatsoever and believe me I beat the crap out of them and my speakers.
