Hybrid Audio Tech already makes the 7.1 Legatia. If Biketronics is going to sell these for $499, that would be a hell of a deal. The Legatia 7.1 with a tweeter, I think is going to cost a little more than $499.
Which one of you guys is gonna be the first? Too rich for my blood!
Lol. . I'm giving it some serious thought. Has anyone heard these speakers? They have identical specs to the present 7.1's. My infinities sound so dam good I almost hate to take them out for a pair of 500.00 dollar speakers. I can get 4 sets of infinity's for that price. For me it's not so much the money as it is practacality. They would have to sound dam good for me to buy em!
Wish I could but I'm out.... Just bought my 7.1 in March, ordered hogtunes lids in April then sent them out for paint two days after I recieved them. I wanted the one and done so I ordered the bt 6x9s and they have only been in the bike for a couple weeks.

Methinks that if John got his "wish" and other audio companies jumped in with 2 feet, he'd be out of business in no time at all. Does he (or does anyone else) think that if Sony or Pioneer or JL Audio or Polk thought that they could/wanted to devote time and energy into the Motorcycle audio realm that a company without their resources and sheer size would survive?

Have I heard them, yes. Have I installed them on a bike, no.
I did an install in an Escalade with the legatia 6.5 L6V2 components about a year or so back. I'll go try to find the pics I took and post them. I really would like to talk to Scott about how they spec their speakers because this speaker showed a rated power of 215w. However the install was utilizing 4 Hifonics Zeuss amps, 2 for subs and 2 for mids and highs. I was feeding well over 500w to each speaker and they didn't flinch!

I hear ya on the Infinity speakers, no complaints here. I've spent a small fortune on my home theater setup, but in a quiet environment you can appreciate the higher quality components. The rule of diminishing returns kicks in quickly on a motorcycle!
I am in the market, hence my original post regarding holding off on the 7.1's. I am now just trying to justify the cost. Had planned on going the 2180 & 7.1 route, which was a stretch to the budget. If I decide to go with the new Pro Line I would probably need to consider going with the PBR300x2 to be able to afford.
Wow...TOO LEGIT TO QUIT...LOL. I think a read a post from a while ago where Harleypingman used Legatia's on his bike. I'm sure the Biketronics new Pro speakers can't compare to JM audio's THE LARGEST AND MOST POWERFUL SPEAKERS IN THE UNIVERSE!!! My $.02 on the JM discussion is when you make claims like John's Co. does about having THE MOST POWERFUL AMP EVER MADE... ect... when he know's it IS NOT TRUE (BT4180) just tells me, if you lie about your products then I will not trust your company or your biased tests!!! Whoa...(audible crash)...(just fell off my soapbox)!!! Gee i'm surprised this thread hasn't disappeared already!!
