ok so I am looking at putting the following combo in my 2007 SG. thoughts from the smarter guys than me please. And I don't want to break the bank.
Polk Audio DB651 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers
Jensen - HD1BT
thanks much
Well that Jenson is on sale at Dennis Kirk for 399.00 which is a big hit right off the bat for an HU. My only suggestion would be to replace the DB's with Kickers on that set up.
The Kickers sound much better.

I really don't see the Jensen unit as an upgrade??? For under $400 ya could get a Biktronics install kit and kick a$$ head unit that I'm sure would blow the Jensen away??? Add some Infinity Kappas/Polk mm651s and rock on...
My biggest hurdle is wiring. I have absolutely zero knowledge with this process. So is there a wiring harness that plugs into the head unit and then into the HD? Yes I am clueless.

Call Bill @ Biketronics.. he'll hook you up with a head unit, the module to plug it directly into your existing stock wiring, excellent amps and speakers as well. There are also other vendors, J&M, Hogtunes, Hawg-Wired, etc. that sell plug and play stuff but the control module for your headunit, you should get from BT..

that will work for me. Thanx much my fellow forum riders.
Ok Nutz, I called Biketronics and spoke with John. After a great conversation I decided to pull the plug on the following. This setup will allow me to upgrade with an amp in the future. But for now it should be spot on. So needless to say I am looking forward to next week.
