Hello,
I'm about to set the gains on my PBR300X2 amp by ear. My dilemma is this; with the exception of Heavy Metal and Hard Rap, I listen to all sorts of music. Anyone got any suggestions for a good song to use to set the gains? I know there will always be the odd song that will "distort" after I set the gains with the "ideal" song, but I would like to find a song that will get me somewhere in the "middle" of everything I listen to.
Thanks for any input.

After hours and hours of playing with the gains on the X2 what you are going to find is the X2 will always sound it's best with the gains between 5 and 7. As you stated yourself some songs depending on the format are never going to sound right.
