Been a long process and when I think I got it...I really don't.
Setup
HU- Sony MEX-M70BT
Fairing- bt 7.1
Lowers- bt 6.5
Lids- bt 6x9
Rear pods- kicker cs67
Bt4180
SS PN2-350
The 4180 is powering the fairing and lower speakers on the front channel in parallel. Rear channel is powering the lids. The PN2-350 powers the rear pods.
1. Am I robbing power? 4180 puts out 360 rms per channel (180 per speaker) at 4 ohms. From what I've read, running in parallel (2 ohms), it should put out 230 rms per channel. Since I am running in parallel, does that mean I am only getting 115 to each front speaker?
2. By mixing ohms (2 ohms front, 4 ohms rear), am I still receiving 180 rms to the lids? Doesn't sound like it.
3. If rms is reduced as mentioned in #1, I will place each front speaker on its' own channel. Now what to do with the rear. I have a spare PN4.520 but I don't think that will be enough for the lids. At this time (if I have to), I am leaning toward the SS PN4.900 to power the lids and pods.
Are my statements correct? Am I on track? Given my current setup, does anyone have any opinions or recommendations? Looking to get the most out of my equipment. Thanks in advance.
By the way, bt retro kit for hand controls appears to be pretty useless.
Another thing. I have basically the same system as you but I have the 7.1" pods. Mines loud as he'll and shakes the ground around the bike. What specifically do you feel yours is lacking?

Might have been over-expectation, but had to turn the gain down on the pods in order not to drown out the 6x9's. Also, thought if I bump the fronts up to 180 might be easier on the headunit when riding on the highway. I bought the lids hoping that I could create more of a "sound envelope". (if that makes sense.)

Are you running fronts and rears in parallel?
Both in parallel. 7.1's and 6.5's up front, and 7.1's and 6x9's on the rear. I have plenty of sound at highway speed. Wife constantly tells me to turn it down and I never ride anywhere near max volume on the HU.
