Well about 3 months back I install a stereo in a Reckless Fairing for my bike. Sony Marine CDX-H910UI pbr300x2 Front speakers Infinity 6912m marine speakers Rear speakers are Infinity 612m
The other day had my bike up on my lift and was washing it and all of a sudden I starting to get crackling coming out of my speakers and then very loud high pitch squeals and my stereo was off at the time. I managed to get to my power plug for my fairing and unplug it but not before I had a lot of high pitch noises from my speakers.
After I finished the wash I started to take my fairing off and then took it apart to get to the stereo and found that everything seemed dry inside the fairing. I then put the inner fairing back on the bike and then plugged in the power to it again and same thing happened. I unplugged the power and then I unplugged the speakers and just bypassed the amp. Turned the stereo on and got sound good sound out of my left speaker but my right is now blown. Didnt check my Tour Pak speakers because I had already removed my Tour Pak and put it away.
So I checked on line where I bought my amp from on Amazon and it said no returns because it has been over 90 days , well just over so I assume I am SOL on the amp. I did take the amp apart to see if it had water in it and it was bone dry so I am not sure what happened here for sure. All I do know is the amp is toast and one speaker is toast and not sure about my rear speakers yet. Sounded great while it lasted just didn't last very long.
Went on line and ordered a new set of speakers and a Acoustik RZ4-2000D Nano 4 Channel 2000 watt amp. I am hoping I will have better luck with this one then I did with the PBR.
to OP: you know it is not 2000 watt right ? I only wish... you will like it.
Yes I know, I did some reading on it before I bought it and the guys that have installed it really seem to like it. So I will give it a shot. I am hoping it will last longer than the PBR did. Little disappointed in that one
Thanks
Bruce
Well Just called Rockford and they said because I bought it from an unauthorized dealer on Amazon they do not cover the warranty. Don't really understand that, it is still their product, who cares what company sold it as long as it is a legit brand new product.

Well Rockford Fosgate is a sponsor on this forum and everybody here buys their product. You might want to bubble it up to the next level of management. They have great customer service if you talk to the right people. The person you talked to is probably just following SOP.
Last night got an e-mail from VM Innovations, that is who I purchased the amp from. They told me that they are an authorized dealer with Rockford and they included my invoice and told me to give Rockford a call to have the amp replace or repaired under warranty.
This afternoon called Rockford, they informed me that yes VM Innovations is an authorized dealer but only in their retail store and not their online store and seems I bought it through their online store I will have to have them look after it.
So I asked them what difference does it make how I bought it. They are an authorized dealer and what's the difference if they sold it to me on line or in their store. You should be happy that they are selling your product. He said well we only have a couple of dealers that are authorized to sell online and they are not one of them.
I have now e-mailed the seller and am waiting for a reply.
