I will go look at the bike and write everything down so I get it right. This is the best Sound I have gotten out of it. Alot of messing around.

Griff. . Not sure about the Kenwood but I have a couple friends who have the same Sony I do and they blew their speakers with the "LOUD" setting on the HU. It's been my experience to keep the loud setting off if your system is amped. May not hold true with the Kenwood. Just giving you a heads up.

loudness is really only supposed to be used for low volumes to "fill" the sound stage. Anything about volume level of 5 or so, it should be off.

Loudness boosts low freqs to give fuller sound AT LOW VOLUMES.
Leave it off!
I got sound enhancer function on my Pioneer and sound at low or mid setting great BUT ONLY AT LOWER VOLUME... ASA I start increasing the volume the Speakers are basically getting and potentially can be damaged by it.

My advise: only use your equalizer settings to tweak your sound, no loudness nor sound enhancing (usually those are a boost of highs and lows). This applies to my Pioneer, of course I could be off for the Kenwood or Sony....

very well said,,,,, put all your money into the upper fairing speakers and amp FIRST ,,, then move to the lower fairing position to add even more sound on the highway,,,,,,

then you can add rear speakers etc if you have more money to spend, but anything that is behind you will be hard to hear on the highway, regardless of what it sounds like sitting still or at tail-gate parties ,,,,

and it never hurts to have a good sounding bike around FOR those late night tail-gate parties !!
