Install was a breeze, the search function did not work as described with my usb flash drive (must be a formatting issue) but it worked as described with the iPhone via Bluetooth so I'm just going to use it that way until I can figure it out.
The Hogtunes amp is actually wired through the 23 pin connector so no splicing was required as I originally thought, simply plug and play.
That should work if it has a rear usb. The specs for that radio don't say anything about a usb. That plug takes a 1 1/2" hole. I have one I would send you for $10 to cover shipping. There are other options out there if you just want usb that only need a 3/4" hole. Have you even looked at the HD1BT Jensen? I have one and it has been good so far. This looks like the best deal right now at $444.44 http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/281449390127?lpid=82 I don't see where you are getting anything with the AQ that you are not getting with the Jensen. Quality? I have not seen a lot of complaints on the Jensen.
The Aquatic AV USB is a charge only.
The Jensen HD1BT USB, with a "Y" adapter can be used for charging AND at the same time as an additonal input from any device, ie cell phone, memory stick, SD Card, etc. and stroll songs with the right handlebar control.

Jensen is far better and much cheaper!
The USB can be used as an input. I needed a software update from Aquatic to run the Nano gen5.
I have the older one, installed it in 2009, believe it is the 902.2 and I replaced the older Hogtunes fairing speakers this year with their GEN 3 352F-AA 2 ohm
I was running an old iPhone 4 as a music only device through the usb, figured it was hooked up anyway for charging, last week I would lose all sound when I hit a bump, I would have to disengage the faceplate and reengage it and it would work again, until the next bump, even some smooth road transitions caused it to not work, I decided to change it to Bluetooth audio to narrow it down before contacting Aquatic, and bluetooth was not affected by the bumps at all, weird, must be something on the connector between the unit and the faceplate

I have Satellite XM radio on my stock HD HK radio. Neither of the Aquatic AV radios offers this option... yet. I spoke earlier today with Patrick, and he said it is in the works and to check back in the 1st qtr of 2016.
Also, I don't think there is a clock.

No clock , that sure is surprise and never heard of radio with no clock .. , xm radio , that seams unlikely , but maybe they can add it some way , I say that because a menu is a menu , if they can and XM to menu that will B great .
