As all my music is stored on a thumb drive would one of these usb plugs work with the AQ-MP-5BT-H Monochrome LCD.
That should work if it has a rear usb. The specs for that radio don't say anything about a usb. That plug takes a 1 1/2" hole. I have one I would send you for $10 to cover shipping. There are other options out there if you just want usb that only need a 3/4" hole. Have you even looked at the HD1BT Jensen? I have one and it has been good so far. This looks like the best deal right now at $444.44 http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/281449390127?lpid=82 I don't see where you are getting anything with the AQ that you are not getting with the Jensen. Quality? I have not seen a lot of complaints on the Jensen.
I just installed one in my 2012 SG couple days ago. Straightforward install. no major issues. Minor issue I couldn't get my fat fingers inside to mount the forward screws back into the mounting bracket. After fighting with them and dropping them more than not, said screw it loctite on the 2 rear ones and buttoned it up. Only thing is you lose the ability of stereo to decrease volume automatically when reducing speeds and vice versa. Unless I just haven't figured out the setting. Sounds pretty good with the stock speakers and no amp(it is amplified alleged 288w built in.) I got some Polk MM651 coming so we'll see what they sound like next week....

I'd figure out a way to get those screws in the front holes. If they're phillips screws then a long handled screwdriver works well, if they're the stock allen head bolts then a long 3/16 allen extension works great. That radio won't last long in there if it's moving around and it will move around with only the 2 rear bolts securing it.
Noob audio question, I ran across this head unit on the internet today, I have been using a disk burned with MP3s but I want to upgrade to a usb flash drive and have more variety.
My current setup on my 2009 FLHX is stock HK head unit, Hogtunes 352F-AA front speakers, a Hogtunes tweeter bar, then I have Infinity 6.25 in the lowers powered by a Hogtunes amp.
Will my Hogtunes amp hook up to this unit, plug in play just like the stock HK?
What is the best way to put music on a flash drive so it will play correctly (format), how do you build libraries, playlists etc so you don't have to listen to everything all the time, it would be nice to at least separate them by genre or build a favorites list, is it as easy as organizing them like you want them into different folders?
Years ago I had everything organized in iTunes and my PC crashed, the IT department was able to recover them and save them to my new hard drive which is backed up on our server, now I need to get them off of there and on a flash drive and I plan to copy them to another portable hard drive so I have some backup but I'd like to organize them first.
Well, bit the bullet and ordered this unit. Both of my HK headunits have crapped out on me.
Called Aquatic and asked if it was truly plug and play. They said yes. Was worried I might have to run power and ground (didn't feel like pulling the tank) but it's not the case.
I ordered mine today, been emailing questions with Hogtunes Tech Support and Kyle with Aquatic and searching for my answers but I figured if I can get everything in front of me then it will make more sense than looking at pictures, got to say I'm impressed with Aquatic's service so far, Kyle responded very quickly and even took some more pictures of the actual wiring since website doesn't have a great view, helped while looking at wiring diagram, and then said if I had any questions once I was going just call and they'll talk me through it and get it figured out.
