The snows have stopped here... But it's damn cold. Normal high here for April 26th is 16C (60F).. All we got to was 2C (35F). It's been going down to -9C (16F) at night. We're setting all time records for cold weather.
Today it's going to be a scorcher.. 7C (44F).. But at least it will be sunny. Going to try a 45 mile run to the dealership today. I ordered a spare FOB and have to have the bike there to get it programmed.
Are they still giving just one FOB with a new bike? I thought that was only for one year ('20).
On topic, I did the first ride of the season four days ago. On the Yamaha, not the Harley. There's still gravel on the roads and if I'm going down it will be on the less expensive bike LOL.
It's noon and the temperature is up to 10C (50F) today. Supposed to have a high of 14C (57F). To make things worse, it's cloudy and breezy too.. Spring just won't come.. (It's supposed to be 21C (70F) this time of year.. And for the next week's forecast, there's no chance of getting anywhere near 21C 70F). -- What really hurts is that last year on this day it was 29C (84F).
So tired of bundling up every time I want to go for a ride...
God knows I hate riding in the cold!
Here in South Florida last night it went down to 61f!!!
But my winter gear did its job!!
Actually......my hats off to you all that have to deal with extreme cold......I had my share in NYC but nothing like sub-zero.
But at what point do cold temps become detrimental to the bike with regards to battery power, fluids flow etc.
Or is it not a concern?
