Yeah. Take the highway to Kelowna, go from there (twisty's) down to Rock creek and continue on the #3 for the best scenery. It will take you along Kettle river. Through Grand Forks. Or get to Osoyoos (mountain pass) to Castlegar along # 3 and up through another mountain pass and another from Salmo to Creston. Stop at Tim's fish and Chips just as you arrive to Creston. Continue on to Cranbrook. Check in at R&R's cycle if you have any issues or even just for a look and a BS. It's just at your entry end in to Cranbrook from the Creston side across from the rail tracks. Then Fernie and the Crows nest pass and to Lethbridge and on up to Calgary. Have a safe ride.

 

You really can't go wrong with any road in BC (unless it's on fire or washed out). Lots do the Trans Can through Banff and the main routes. All great runs.

However, I'd HIGHLY recommend the following epic run, you'll have a TON of twisties and the main water bodies will be on your right, where they should be (keep watch on the forest fire sites for road closures though - https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/s...fire-situation & https://www.arcgis.com/apps/dashboar...2ee385abe2a41b). Head down to the Crow's Nest with a quick stop at Bomber Command Museum in Nanton AB along the way (if they flash up the Lancaster, it's worth the stop); to Frank Slide; Grand Forks; up through Osoyoos; along West Side Road in Kelowna up to Kamloops; then zigzag to Lillooet (Merritt, Ashcroft, Lytton); and down the Sea to Sky to Vancouver (don't forget to stop in Squamish, Brittania Mines, and Shannon Falls).

I've done this run a few times and it's my fave. The Bucket List ride you never knew there was!!!

For Camping nothing beats the recreation sites (most I've spent is $20 per night), but again watch the fires (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/s...camping-hiking)

I was thinking for doing a route that would take me back down south from the duffy something similar to the one mentioned by RCAF but would like to include the 40

Hows the riding in the south including the crows nest pass ?

 

South and through Crows Nest is awesome ride. Heard that there are some potential instabilities along it though from high volume of water passing under. A large group is taking it westbound in Aug for The Rolling Barrage (www.therollingbarrage.com & www.facebook.com/therollingbarrage); they're monitoring it closely; eyes are crossed...

There is a big forest fire near Lytton, you probably want to avoid that area.

My daughter is currently on her honeymoon in Kelowna and she said it was near 40C there yesterday.

 

I'm in Kelowna this week visiting my mom - was 35.5c yesterday downtown, cooler at around 32c West and North.

Here's an update and details of my trip

I had an epic adventure picked up a new white road glide 11 am Saturday

Road north to the duffy - one of the most spectacular mountain canyon rides I've ever seen and riden

from there went to vernon where I stayed the night

Road to Nakusp ,Nelson, Fernie and to Calgary all on Sunday
