Last time I was in Saskatoon it was -35 I was heading north. I spent a couple years working up at La Ronge for Athabasca airways. Had my Panhead up there.
LOL and I'm considering another trip to Cochrane for a week of snowmobiling
-5 Celsius and a snow dusting this morning at 4 am when I woke up - unreal. I'm gonna have to trade in my Street Glide for a Snowmobile. Where are all the tree hugging the worlds gonna melt people now? The longest coldest $hittiest winter in a long time.
I started this discussion just over a year ago thinking last year was an anomaly, IT’S NOT! Woke up this morning to more snow, haven’t even looked at Jolene (my Freewheeler) yet. Supposed to be warmer in the next few days, hopefully it’ll be o.k. to take the bedsheets off the trike and do my spring tuneup, heaven forbid I might even get out for a ride!
Sideways snow this morning in 50+ wind. Calgary Harley Davidson is supposed to deliver my bike on Friday. I hope things change before then.
MM, what bike are you getting? exciting times! The weather will turn in a week, you watch into the teens is all we need 18-19 is beautiful riding weather.
Howdy,
I bought a FXST with 800KM on it, so not even broken in.
I'm looking forward to the electric start and actually having a rear suspension, after 43 years with a rigid frame I'm hoping for less stress on the fused vertebrae in my back and the pain I've endured kick starting it with my old knees. It's a pretty basic bike by today's standards, but a big leap for me. Electric start-no kick start, rear suspension, hydraulic brakes, signal lights, fuel gauge, disc brakes, EFI-no carburetor, no throttle cable, 12 volt lights that I hope will light up the road better than a 6 volt headlight powered by a three brush generator can, a lot of modern things I've never experienced. I only hope the electronic instruments will be as reliable as the mechanical speedo and the electric volt and and oil idiot lights that I relied on for decades.

NICE! You are happy and that's all that matters (and your back LOL) Send us some pics when you get your new Baby. Congrats!
These winters are getting longer and longer I swear. Last night we got 8" of snow. It was -12ºC this morning, 1ºC this aft, but sorta snowing yet again.
I recall hearing there was a warming period before the last ice age. Maybe that is what is going on - I wasn't there, so who knows.[ha ha]
I am planning my final projects these next set of days off.
So for me, the weather can dick around a tiny bit longer.
But I can work when the sun is doing it's magic to melt the back alley ice shelf. The street sweepers could do a lap or two I suppose. I don't need to be out first... anymore.
