Hey Pete:
You are right this policy does make DEELY a happy camper not so much for the rest of us. However what goes around comes around. Paid cash on my holidays, used my condo address and am now coming home with my stuff. LOL I guess when they say support your local dealer and show some loyalty it is only a one way street. Ride Safe
Good for you!!!!!
I am so **** against buying from CAN. dealers, it's not even funny. I spend 7k in stuff and accessories in the US so far. The same would cost here 10-11 grand. I am flexible, but refuse to bend over that far....there loss for being so damn greedy. I don't owe them nothing and all they want to do is take as much of my hard eared money as they can. They don't give a damm about me.
( another 2k order arrived at my place in the US.)
i find it amusing, i have started to pit my local dealer ( Canada) against the dealer i use in the states and guess what????? He is usually able to get close to the US price!!! Figure that one out! Thats with a 15% discount in the US.

For real? I tried that, and was told, they cant even get close to US prices because of deeley's markup and the usual complaining about low profit margins and hardly making anything on parts. Ya..Ok..
Sounds like you have a good thing going there. I'm sure lot's of guys in your area would love some details about it.
If you want to order online and their website detects a canadian IP address you can simply use a US proxy site. Here's a couple that might do the trick..
However, after you purchase the item won't you have to put in a Canadian shipping address? I wonder if they'll ship to Canada after you purchase the item, probably not.
Nope... they do NOT ship to canada! No US dealer is allowed to ship to CAN. I was told, that they wont even ship to parcel pickup locations now, since another FOMO crackdown just last week.
Pretty well need a real US address now
Don't know if you read my posts in other threads about this issue.
I found another way and placed a big order that is saving me 1000 can. dollars. Matter of fact, my parcels have arrived. Going to the states next week for a few days and will return with them!
If you pm me your phone nr, I'll call and let you know how i get my stuff now. Certainly not posting on here any details, since they are monitoring this forum. As long as there is online ordering, I'll find a way. If they stop online ordering, i'll walk in and buy or have somebody across the border buy for me. They'll never get me to pay inflated crazy canadian prices. Canadian dealer greed makes me do it.
Thanks for the offer. I'm not really in the market for any HD brand stuff. All I need for this year is a windshield, some tires, maybe some shocks, some driving lights. None of which I'd buy from HD.
anyone here that is wanting some info and i can be sure your not an HD rep i will gladly share my info! PM me i'll do some looking if i am ok with it i'll share.
wow, that is brutal eh. What a monopoly, I feel bad for the Canadian dealers, they really are over a barrel. I couldn't even get the jacket I wanted from the 2 Canadian dealers I use, said that they can only buy what Deeley brings in. It is hard to believe the MOCO is tied to let 1 crook determine what a whole country of dealers is able to buy. I'd like to see that contract.....probably 103 years old
Just came across this thread while searching for a cheaper place to buy HD parts.. I live north/east of Toronto and feel the pain of Dealer Prices.
I've bought my last 3 bikes in the USA, helped a few other friends get bikes in the USA even bought my summer car from the Carolinas.
The 13% we lose on top of all the deductions sucked from our pay cheques is too much for me to stomach !!
Not to say Deeley is justified in his pricing but I can say that his business must cost some serious coin to keep running !! I work in Concord just blocks away from that Deeley yard and I know for a fact that the cost of doing business in Canada is HIGH.
As much as I fully understand this fact.. I still need to save money buying the exact same part for less in the USA. Just priced out a front brake line up here $328 in the USA $243 !
$85 bucks on just 1 part ?
Add 13% and a modest list of parts... I'll be spending and extra $300 for the stuff I need. So much for extra coin to buy stuff I want !!
