This year I plan to ride a lot and it would be nice if everyone could share their best rides in their regions, states or provinces.
I live in Quebec, Canada and to start this thread I can share my best roads and places.
The road #138 along the north side of the St-Laurent river, from Quebec city to Sept-Île is a great road, you can stop in Charlevoix and spend a night at the Manoir and spend some money at the Casino.
You can also visit and see some whales and nice places along that road.
The road #132 along the south side of the St-Laurent river is also a very nice road to ride around the Gaspésie region.
A good thing for all is that most of all Quebec peoples are bilangual.

Depends where you ride, I know that the Trois-Rivières cops are a bit zealous about loud pipes but I've heard that they are more tolerant for tourists.
As great as "The Trail" is, I should add the caveat to choose your dates wisely. Avoid, if you can:
1) Peak tourist season. Locked between bumper to bumper tour buses is no way to enjoy The Trail.
2) Fog; if the fog rolls in stay off the road and do something safer like play Russian Roulette with one empty chamber. You'd see zip anyway, even if you did ride.
3) Moose; evening drives kill both tourists and moose. Riders won't fare much better. Enjoy the spectacular daytime views and save the evenings for romance.
Lastly, don't let my warnings scare you away . Cabot Trail is a famously beautiful and interesting ride deserving of a place on every rider's bucket list.

Hey 55 me and the wife will be out East this summer. I'll put 138 and 132 on the list. We're going to do Gaspe and Cabot for sure as well.
If you're coming to Alberta take the Alaska Hwy from Dawson Creek to Dawson City. 2400 km, 3 day ride. When you come home, take the Cassiar hwy (#37) from Watson lake to the yellow head hwy near the coast. Trip of a lifetime.
If you're passing through Ontario I recommend making your way to Tobermory and taking the ferry across to Manitoulin Island. Spend the day riding the beautiful roads on the island and then make your way onto the Trans Canada highway off to you're next destination.
