Keep in mind on a older bike, old school is how it is. What ever you do, don't change those two little dice for a stupid bell. Different guardian angels back then.

Well that 'old timer' isn't very old and doesn't know much! OEMs did not have vacuum taps until around 1995, in other words for just the last few years of carb bikes. That means Harleys didn't have vacuum taps for over 90 years! On the other hand your Pingel is a wise choice.
