Default Rejetting CV carb.......

Are there any real advantages to removing the carb from the engine when changing jets ?
I've always removed them when rejetting, but since they're right above the float bowl, wouldn't it be nearly as convenient to just remove the bowl and rejet? Just looking at saving some time and effort.

you can absolutley just remove the bowl to change jets,,,,i do it all the time!!! most likely have to remove the air cleaner to get clearance to get the bowl off, but.......

On an S&S carb you can change the main jet by just removing the float bowl plug and going through there.
I don't know if that works on a Keihin CV.

I'll have to remove the bowl on my CV. No drain plug on it

the only thing i can think of is checking the float angle, this can have a negative effect on MPG if too high a level so be careful not to bend it.
