Default Kick starter

Here's the story. Looking at a 78 FLH that has NO Kick Starter. I know some shovel owners have problems with the electric start and use the kicker as back up or they are a pushin to start.
I've never torn into a 4 speed before (always had the indy do my tranny work), but is it difficult to put a kicker on? Any special tools needed?

2nd question would be, what electric starter should (reliable) be installed?

Buy a kit that contains all the parts you need. The install is pretty straight and relatively easy. No special tools required.

Thanks, looking at a parts breakdown diagram, it looked straight forward. Just wanting the experts opinion.
