Default Fatboy or Big Dog

Hey gang I just wanted some pros and cons to help in my decision, I have a 2005 fatboy 95ci 1550 and Iam thinking of trading it in for a k9. I am an everyday rider and i ride hard. I have a few grand to customize my hd but man doI like those choppers. The hd has some work done to her but I feel that I am too big for the HD (6' 215 LBS)But will the big dog takelong hard riding?

I had to decide between an '07 Fat Boy and an '06 BD Ridgeback last fall,I liked the HD a lot but picked the Big Dog since I've always liked choppers,I'm 6' 2" 280 lbs but that 117" engine has no trouble hauling me around, rides pretty smooth also(for a rigid)...

dm do you ride the big dog daily, and if so how does she hold up also have you taken her on any distance rides, even though she is a hard tail

I dont ride the BD every day but I've taken a couple of 3-400 mile rides with no problems,it rides pretty smooth but you have to be prepared for expansion joints, manhole covers etc...

I would stick with the Fatboy my friend.
Bar coasters are OK for around town if your profiling.I ride by many of them parked at the local tavern damn near every day.Go riding for a few hundred and they will still be sitting there on your way home.
REAL COOL

BD's are cool bikes, but honestly, stick with the Fatboy! I've ridden the BD's for long trips, and short trips, although a very nice bike, it wasn't all that comfy. The Fatboy will no doubt ride much better, and also be more comfortable, but that's just my 2cents.......i'm kinda partial to them!

My opinion is to stick with the Fatboy. Especially if you ever decide to sell or trade it. I believe the Harley will hold its value better. Ever see what dealerships are selling their older bikes for? They sell for only a little less than a new bike! Obviously there's markup on them but sometimes I think it's rediculous. But then I just remember that I have a Harley and it'll hold it's value just as well. I like the custom bikes, but I don't think I'll ever own one. I really like looking at them. Many of them are works of art. They're just not for me. Just my opinion.

There is nothing as cool as a custom bike , they look great they are fun to ride, BUT after you break down for the tenth time, and you will, and your friends are laughing at you as they leave you behind waiting for the trailer[:@], cool goes out the window pretty damn fast. Trust me I know. Then you take an expensive bath when you finally smarten up andunload the overpriced glittering piece of crap. Not to hostile am I?
