Do some research on the Big Dog...You'll learn about all the electrical problems and recalls...One was even for frames cracking! I considered a K9 before buying the Rocker C. After the research, you couldn't give me a Big Dog.
Get the Big DOg! Everybody has a Harley in their garage. Step out and do something different. Custom from the get go, not 1-2 years and $10,000 dollars later worth of upgrades. Recalls, sure every bike has recalls. That means they have identified a problem AND FIXED IT! Unlike the 07's with the super lean and hot engines and tranny that screamed like a DOG. Harley said there was no problem and yet almost every one I know is dumping another $2000 in pipes and retuning just to cool the bike down. And the tranny, no problem, but it you want we will sell you an IDS drive system upgrade for $500 to quite down your scoot tranny. Dont get me wrong, I love Harleys and have always had Harleys ( 1988 883 Sporster, 1987 FXSTC, 1995 Fat Boy, 2001 Night Train, 2005 Ultra Classic), and am currently looking for a low milage and older model Fatboy. The new ones, not convinced yet! Here is my latest scoot, 2002 Pitbull.
Oh no , Harleys never break , Harleys are perfect in every way , Harley has never had a recall , I own a Harley and i said so...... Give me a friggin break and get off your Harleybandwagon......
Go thru the Harley forums and read about all the nightmare bullcrap alot of owners went thru , it's never ending........
Then you hear of a Big Dog that has a problem and you play itfor all it's worth because it's your moment to shine as most posers do...
They're all electro/mechanical man made machinesthat will break sooner or latter no matter who's name is on it....
Some just don't get it !
Hmmm.....Harley's never break, have electrical problems, run lean from the factory etc.? I own a Big Dog Dealership and also do a fair amount of Harley work. I have no problem with the BD reliability and have had plenty of guys do long rides including myself. You buy a HD and what do you do?Big motor,Chrome and all sorts of goodies! Big Dog comes standard. Now take that HD with all the custom work for \\;it even be close to a BD and see what the resale value is? It's not a Harley wanna be It's what you want your Harley too be, in my opinion.Other wise you'd leave it stock.
MAYBE ONE DAY WHEN IM $$$$$$ I WILL BE ABLE TO AFFORD A BIG DOG...VERY NICE BIKES.. \\;WOULD LOVE TO TEST DRIVE ONE SOMEDAY...BUT THEN I WILL PROB WANT TO BRING IT HOME WITH ME..LOL
